Europe restricts US visitors to the CCP virus

The European continent agreed on Tuesday to reopen to 14 countries, but the United States was not included in its mandate as cases of the CCP virus continue to rise, according to the European Council. The council wrote that it “adopted a recommendation on the gradual lifting of temporary restrictions on non-essential travel” within the European Union, adding that “travel restrictions should be lifted for the countries listed in the recommendation, with this list being reviewed and, where appropriate, updated every two weeks ”. Travel restrictions for Algeria, Australia, Canada, South Korea, Georgia, Japan, Montenegro, Morocco, New Zealand, Rwanda, Serbia, Thailand, Tunisia and Uruguay should be lifted, according to a group press release. The restrictions must be lifted from July 1. Furthermore, China could be included if it allows EU travelers. The move is designed to curb the spread of the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, a new coronavirus that emerged in mainland China last year. The CCP has been criticized by health experts for suppressing information about the virus, while many have suggested that official figures released by the Chinese regime are not accurate and that the actual number of deaths within China, a country with a population of 1.3 billion, is probably much higher than what has been officially reported. EU citizens and their families are exempt from the restrictions and can travel back to the block, while residents of Monaco, Andorra, Vatican City and San Marino should be considered EU residents for the purposes of the recommendation. Member countries to the Schengen area such as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland can participate. Reports have pointed out that Americans make up a large part of the European Union’s tourism industry, and that more than 15 million Americans travel to Europe every year, while some 10 million Europeans travel to the United States. While cases in the United States have increased in recent weeks as states have ended blocking measures, the death rate has decreased. About 332 deaths from COVID-19 were reported Monday, according to the COVID Monitoring Project. Support our independent journalism by donating a “coffee” to the team.
